The venues participating in Taste the Landscape, from goat herders, cider makers and dairy farmers to cheesemakers, pubs, vineyards, artisan bakers and vegetable growers, are listed here in roughly alphabetical order. 

​Each venue will open on set days and times during the 10-day Somerset Food Trail period. These will vary according to venue so check out the details of opening times and addresses in order to plan which venues you would like to visit, and when.

Where possible, we encourage people to walk or cycle to venues. The food trail is mostly free; there will be a modest charge for some special events – see the details listed below.

Home to the leading experts pioneering innovation in aquaponics and Europe's biggest aquaponics trout FARM which also produces herbs and vegetables

Charles Dowding

Renowned 'no dig' GARDENING expert Charles Dowding will host an evening tour of his wonderful vegetable garden, demonstrating 'no dig' cultivation.

Fenny Castle Vinyard 

Fenny Castle Vineyard is a family-run VINEYARD on the edge of the Somerset Levels producing award-winning English sparkling  still wines and premium craft ciders.

Middlewick Farm and Shop

Middlewick Farm has been here since the  early 1600s. The FARM SHOP sells our own free range eggs, home bred pork and lamb, salad from our gardens and many Somerset products.

Pitney Farm Café

The CAFÉ is a unique business working closely with Pitney Farm. Our menu changes every 4-5 weeks as the seasons offer new ingredients. The current menu reflects high summer, with fresh, nutritious flavours.

For well over half a century, Cracknell's FARM has reared poultry in a natural and traditional way. All our birds are free-range and additive free.
